So I just got done watching Avatar and the graphics are so freakin amazing. While watching it, I was imagining that that is what Valenwood is like. The people kind of remind me of the wood elves too, as they don't use metal or anything like that. They're kinda like native americans in a sense.
Do you guys think Valenwood would look as vibrant and gorgeous as the region in Avatar?

Old post, never mind Rolling Eyes The Na'vi kind of reminds me of the Dunmer. All the light effects could fit well in the Tamrielic Empire I think.

Personally, I've tended to think of Valenwood as being rather like the "Greenwood" near Nottingham, in the various Robin of Lockesly films. CLothing of greens and browns, to blend in, using the trees and brush to conceal their presence for the most part... and turning would-be invaders into porcupines (so to speak.. pincushions) from high above.

The greenwood near Nottingham? Like, that is soooo mundane. I mean, this is Nirn, not Earth. I know that we as humans are familiar with what we're exposed to and automatically associate our kind of geology with other worldly geology, especially in video games. It takes a lot of critical thinking to come up with something radically different from what we're used to or exposed to.

Hah, and you boys thought I wouldn't reply back to this post; implying it was an "old" post. Laughing

There's a post on BethSoft Forums about Summerset isle and what it might look like. I'm way more into Summerset than valenwood as my character was born on Summerset in Shimmerene. I sincerely hope TESVI or TESVII will be set there. Wow, by then, we'll be in Windows 12 and have DirectX16 and computer graphics will be indistinguishable from reality. Can you imagine? Rolling Eyes

I was always wondering, how the Black Marsh would look like.

After the success of Oblivion, I'm afraid Bethesda would never make a game like Morrowind again. I kind of hate 3D animations.

Maybe is should Daggerfall give a try, hmmm.
