You know, I can't help but wonder what Bethesda's employees/devs think of TR. Does anyone know if they've ever made any comments at all about it?

I think Todd Howard will never comment on our mods (have you ever seen him posting at the forum? Eheh), but there are some nice entries about TR at the Bethesda Blog, and I guess they're made by GStaff.
Let me find them...

Bethesda Blog entry for Map 1 PES All Of Fame

Bethesda Blog entry for Map 2 first release

Gez mod interview

Lutemoth mod interview

There should be other posts, but now I can't find them as the blog search engine really sucks.

Denina, have you ever considered playing Oblivion as well? Not off topic as TR has released Stirk for TES IV. Wink

I've tried Oblivion and I didn't care much for it. The best part of Oblivion was the lockpicking mini game. I want to port that to Morrowind so bad, but I don't think it's possible or someone probably would've done it by now.

Crazy!!! Wink I love Morrowind but can't resist Oblivion as well! Wink
* notices the forum's subtitle. Quickly moves the discussion back to TES III*

Maybe the lockpicking minigame can be ported to Morrowind via MWSE (Morrowind Script Extender). Not sure though, as I'm not scripter at all. Maybe Fliggerty is thinking about it? Who knows. Smile

Anyway, let me know what you think about Map 1 and 2 when you'll try them. Happy playing!

I don't use MWSE since I don't like the idea of my Morrowind game being dependent on another program to be fully functional but I would be reluctant to ask Fliggerty even if I did. He has so many projects in the works, I cannot imagine asking him to do another. I can't figure out how he keeps up on them all.

Besides, we have the Oblivion disk around here somewhere. If I want to mess around with the lock picking game, I can just load the tutorial and have at it. First, I have to find out what box the game got stuck in. I think it's buried somewhere. We still haven't found all our games yet. Moving is such a bitch!

Right now, I'm twitching to play Morrowind and I have my game almost set up. I just have to get the rest of the clothing mods I like. The character I've made up that I want to play refuses to wear the rags that came with the original game. She will only be dressed in the best of the best. I can see already she's going to be high maintenance, but that'll be okay. Since she's so unlike me, she should be a fun character to play.

I've loaded TR in my mod set this time around so I will get to it, probably when she's around level 10 or so.

I forgot to say that in order to see the whole landmasse added by TR you'll need to apply the Morrowind Code Patch, which you can download here:

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19510

Useful because it also fixes other well known game bugs. Just remember to select the option for TR when installing the patch, as it's usually unchecked.

I have to admit that the TR maps so far (1 & 2) are difficult to resist; combined with MGE, they add an entire new dimension to Morrowind. It's interesting how they have (for example) a Mainland Mage's Guild that is not the same as the Vvardenfell Guild, but *is* associated. I'm looking forward to seeing what else they've found ways to combine.
