DOWNLOAD - The download link is at the very end of the first post in this thread, directly under the last screenshot.

When you first arrive in Seyda Neen you will meet this nice fellow.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Vodunius_Nuccius_(person)(quest)

He just needs a hand and if you buy his ring he will leave Seyda Neen to go back to his home.
As this also means he leaves the game forever more, it leaves his home empty and unused.

This is a simple mod that enables one to use his house without fear of having stuff tagged as stolen.
It removes the ownerships of everything in his house and makes the interior a bit bigger.

I have no idea why but when you enter the house the door marker has you somehow landing in the very center of the room. Not a big deal, since nothing is there, but just thought I would mention it.

I've added a chest to the end of the bed and brightened it up in there a little.
This makes an already existing in game house , usable for starter characters.

It does not matter when you plug this in because I don't think he ever goes in there.
Also you will have to figure out for yourself how to unlock it because I didn't mess with that.
I also did not touch his dialog at all. So this mod will only conflict with any other mod which touches that specific houses interior.

If you already have been using that house, TAKE YOUR STUFF OUT, before putting this esp in your lineup.
Then you should be fine.

The containers don't appear to respawn. I did not change anything about the vanilla house containers. I only moved stuff around a little and made more space. I did add one chest at the end of that bed. That's it.

This could be used as a cheat but I didn't mean it that way. It's just a shame to see that house sit there idly for the entire game when it could be useful once you buy his ring.

Vodunius Nuccius house for player by Spirited Treasure

This mod was tested with a clean save with Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon. The only additional mod activated was Better Bodies.

Concept: Excellent. I always thought this house should have been made available to the player once he's left town.

Lore Accuracy: N/A - This has no impact on lore in any way that I can think of.

Design: Very good. This mod intends to improve a small house in the game in a small way to good effect. The inside is much more spacious. Except for a chest at the end of the bed, no other containers were added and none were removed from the original game. The existing containers were rearranged to designated areas. The room is brighter and much more cheerful. Since the author chose not to add more containers, this mod is perfect for using a furniture or crafting mod to decorate to your own tastes.

There was only one inconsistency I noticed, and that was that the shape of the inside of the house did not match the exterior. The exterior is the same on the outside but uses the same interior as Eldafire's house. The only change I would make is replacing Vodunius' house exterior with the one that matches the now-improved interior.

The last thing to be noted and is neither good nor bad was that the door on the outside remains locked and owned by Vodunius. Unlocking the door without being seen will still be a challenge and perhaps is the reward for being able to get in.

Technical Achievement: Very good. It is obvious the author knows her way around the construction set and has an artistic eye for decor. This is a very good improvement over the original and I will be using this in my games.

The mod is clean, as stated in the Read me. The Read me is well-written leaving no doubts as to what you will get.

Additional Comments:

I've wanted a new Seyda Neen house for a while as I'm bored with my own Seyda Neen house mods; and it was only after testing this mod that I realized just how narrow and cramped the original is. This mod added an improvement I hadn't realized it needed and is well-suited to my playing style as I like having more places to put additional furniture that I make with Morrowind Crafting.

One other thing that should be noted is that if you use Morrowind Crafting, it will be very difficult to pick the lock on the door without being seen unless your sneak skill is very high. The MC merchant is standing within spitting distance of the house. However, the fine for picking the lock would not be that much and more than worth being able to use the house.

Spirited Treasure has an artistic eye for decor that I think is a little understated in this small mod. I would love to see a more ambitious housing project undertaken as I have no doubt it would be beautiful and a place anyone would be proud to call home.
